harvbull.gif (968 bytes)Plain egg custard

2 Egg Yolks

1 Egg

3 Cups Full Cream Milk

2 Teaspoons Corn Flour

2 Tablespoons Sugar (or more or less to your taste).  If this is for your kids you can skip the sugar and after the custard is made stir in a few tablespoons of pureed apple and/or pear

Few drops Vanilla

Simmer the Milk and the drops of vanilla in a saucepan.  In a bowl put the eggs, cornflour and sugar.  Stir to make a paste.  Take the milk off the heat while it is just simmering (but not boiling) and stir in the egg paste.  Place back on a medium element and stir constantly with a wooden spoon for about five to ten minutes until the mixture thickens and you can see it on the back of the spoon.  Cool and serve.
